“We are a grass-root social enterprise, working in the community for community benefit.”
C.A.R.E. CIC is a registered award winning ‘Social Enterprise’. We are a grass-root social enterprise, working in the community for community benefit. We reach out to bring about benefit in a unique and innovative way; not only by keeping the local Post Office and village shop facilities going, but by using its profits to fund services and activities that support older residents to continue living independently in their own homes with ‘that little bit of help’.
Our social objectives are aimed at promoting positive energy through a warm and inviting proactive social hub. Our business endeavours are to be self-funding and self-promoting; being able to reinvest profits back into the business. Our social purpose is to provide community intergenerational activities that are inclusive to all residents, enabling them to bridge the age-gaps and to form closer, meaningful relationships.
“Since saving their local post office from closure in 2015, our Champions have turned this business into something exceptional that goes beyond just a Post Office and represents a unique model for others”
